The Slight Edge Review

This edition is much longer than the original, which is also the reason why it lost half a star. The added content was repetitive and fluffy, the original was the perfect length and down to the point. The content is still amazing, highly recommended especially if you want to get into the habit of doing what you say you are going to do.

It should also be one of the first few books you read, it will increase your chances of truly applying what you learn from all books read subsequently. The Slight Edge is the first ingredient, the catalyst you need to make all the how-to’s work.

The Slight Edge Summary

It is the little choices that we make day in and day out that make all the difference.

We often tell ourselves that this little choice does not matter, it’s not like I will be in shape if I go to the gym today. On the one hand that is true, but on the other, it is the only choice that really matters. We might not realize it but every decision we make creates its own ripple or butterfly effect.

One example Jeff uses is reading just ten pages of a good book a day, it is such an easy thing to do, but it is just as easy not to do. Reading 10 pages a day for one year would accumulate to 3650 pages, that’s roughly 15 books. Imagine how much better your life would be if you read 15 good books.
